If you're a member of the BIPOC and/or LGBTQ+ communities my services are designed to help educate on how to show up for one’s self and your loved ones. This is done through individual therapy which will help you (re)establish healthy relationships with yourself and others. It will also help to increase self-awareness, confidence, and regain one’s sense of purpose. Relational Therapy helps couples recommit to one another, increase intimacy and communication in your relationship as you work through relational transition, infidelity, family adjustment after kids, communication issues, trust, and intimacy issues.

Sometimes in life we run into times that are hard to navigate alone; entering a new phase in life, getting through a break-up or trouble in a relationship, communicating with one another, anger, life transitions, parenting issues and/or blended families. I enjoy working with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, ADHD, sexual issues, anger issues, relationship issues, grief, trauma, abuse and emotional and spiritual growth. As a counselor, I strongly feel that the first step in a client’s healing is feeling safe and establishing a place of security for the client. We as people are most wounded and most healed in relationships and the counseling relationship is the first place where that healing can begin. I believe it is important to gain awareness of how our past relationships and experiences have impacted us on an emotional, psychological, and spiritual level.

Counseling is the process of recognizing our pain and hurt (past and present), understanding the effects of that pain and hurt (as it relates to relationships, work, school, etc.), and making the necessary changes to stop the pain and hurt, and also promoting mental and emotional wellness. Psychologist Carl Jung once said, “I am not what happened to me, I am what I chose to become.” With that in mind, the hope and plan is to move towards one’s ideal, true self; moving from feeling stuck to feeling empowered.

Lindsey maintains a private practice, as well as, consulting with many local agencies regarding child and adolescent mental health. She provides quality mental health treatment to individuals, children, and families. Lindsey works with children, adolescents, and adults. She specializes in trauma recovery and the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in young children and adults. Additionally, Lindsey enjoys working with individuals to address mood disorders, life transition, personal growth, and behavior difficulties. She believes in the hope and healing that come through a client-centered, yet intentional, counseling process. I am telehealth ONLY. I believe the client is the expert. The client is the driver and I'm the GPS on your journey to healing. We actively work towards achieving the goals you have for yourself or your child. Clients get out of therapy what they put in. I am also certified and trained in Narrative Exposure Trauma Therapy and Infant Family Mental Health. I strive to be my client’s biggest advocate as they discover their independence and their worth. I have experience working with families that are involved in custody disputes. I have experience in helping with timesharing plans that are in the best interest of the child(ren).

Marylon Larkins, MA-LMHC-RN and Founder of Complete Life Counseling. She served 25+ yrs as an Oncology RN at Univ Hosp. in Cleveland Ohio. Marylon completed a MA in Counseling at Reformed Theological Seminary. There she developed the skills to counsel for various needs but her passion is Trauma and Faith-Based issues. She is versatile and compassionate with experience to support clients through Trauma, Couples relationship and Stress related to critical health diagnosis. Marylon has extensive understanding of her clients as a complete person and encourages each of them to live a complete life because "All Of Your Life Matters."
