Are you ready to start your journey? I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has 10 years experience working with children, youths and adults. My approach is person- centered, positive and holistic. My areas of experience include; anger management, substance abuse, relationship issues and anxiety.

I work with career-oriented adults to resolve anxieties and depression, relationship issues, stress and help parents with challenging adolescents and children. Too much responsibility and stress at home, school or workplace often leads to strained relationships, isolation, loss of motivation or debilitating fears. I help people and families affected by anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavior challenges, defiance and anger, divorce or trauma. I've worked with children, teens and young adults with emotional disturbances, behavior problems, substance abuse, self-harm, or personality development issues, and helped couples reconnect.

Life is full of change and transition. Just when you think you have found some balance or are "surviving", another stressor pops up and you might feel as though you just can't deal with one more thing on your plate. Although many stressful situations are viewed as "positives", such as employment, romantic relationships, blending of families, parenting children and teens, or navigating life after a new baby, they all come with emotions, and the need for intentional communication. My name is Stephanie Vega, and I was born in Newark, New Jersey, and raised in New York until I reached high school, where I continued my schooling in Florida. Ms. Helfner is a licensed clinical social worker. She received her BSW from Florida International University. She received her Master’s in clinical social work at Barry University. She went on to complete an MS in Family therapy working towards her PH. D at Nova University. She completed an additional certification as a Master certified Addictions Professional (MCAP) as well as a Clinical fellow in marriage and family therapy. She has over 30 years of clinical experience working with Individuals, couples, teens, LGBTQ, and families. She specializes in Co-occurring disorders, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar disorder, and addiction.

I am a registered clinical social work intern in Florida and am a licensed master of social work in Nevada. I have a masters in social work from Louisiana State University, and a bachelor’s in sociology from California State University and have been working in the social work field since 2018. I have an eclectic approach to therapy, using mediums such as mindfulness, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy.
