I graduated with a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University (2014) and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. I have had the opportunity to work with families, individuals and couples (English and Spanish speaking) of diverse backgrounds in helping them through concerns such as grief, parent-child conflict, intergenerational conflict, addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety and so on. My therapeutic and advocacy experience has reinforced in me the value of helping others gain insight and implement strategies to move towards positive change.

If you are feeling stuck in life, what I offer is the opportunity to look at these painful experiences together in order to understand it, process it, feel it. My purpose is to participate in the journey with you, guiding not directing. I encourage people to explore and put words to those events that have felt paralyzing. I believe people can gain the insight to change those behaviors in their life that have been crippling. I offer the opportunity to create a safe environment and to enter this journey with you. We will both observe your feelings and behavior at a pace that is comfortable.

My goal is to provide a comfortable environment to help people "Say Everything". My special talent is helping people talk freely. I encourage humor and sometimes even fun: it can make the seemingly intolerable more easily managed. I have a genuine respect for my patients. This work is an honor. My training as a psychotherapist began as a child, listening as my parents and their friends talked about jobs; marriage, children, aging parents, etc. This has led to a lifelong fascination with human relationships and the workings of individual minds and hearts. I am in the private practice of psychotherapy and psychoanalysis with adult and adolescent patients who, despite their innate capacities, are experiencing difficulties in relationships, academics or career. Our work focuses on identifying and dealing with those issues which are outside of awareness, but are interfering with the freedom to succeed in the various areas or their lives; e.g.. interpersonal relationships, anxiety, depression, chronic trauma, medical trauma, difficulty in finding intimacy, and academic and creative blocks.

As an individual, family and couples therapist I will assist you to solve conflicts by communicating your needs appropriately. I will assist you in developing problem solving and conflict resolution skills.

Mi rol es activo, intento junto a la persona que consulta aclarar, reformular el motivo de la misma, orientarlo/a ya sea durante la sesión o al finalizar la misma comunicar con señalamientos, preguntas lo que se haya trasmitido mediante el discurso, las fantasías, las actitudes y el comportamiento. Luego de las primeras entrevistas, recomiendo el tratamiento más conveniente de acuerdo a las características singulares del individuo y las circunstancias particulares que lo aquejan.

I work primarily with individuals or families going through difficulties and looking to over come hardship and transform their lives. Growing up my love for this field came from my strong sense of empathy and desire to connect and understand the pain of others. As a child I experienced emotions at an intense level and was easily misunderstood . This created a passion within me to help others be understood and understand themselves and their emotions so that they can have the power to better their lives.
