I am a Christian Counselor that works with ages 3 to adults. I am EMDR trained. My areas of specialization are: trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, grief, school problems, relationship problems, family of origin issues, and divorce. I have training in play therapy that I utilize when working with children.
I work with ages 3 to adult. The 28 years I spent in the education system has equipped me to better understand the academic, emotional and social stressors that children/teens face. I am available to attend IEP meetings. I also am available to communicate with school personnel with parent permission.
It is important to me that my clients feel a sense of trust as we begin to work together on the issues that have caused them to seek out help. In doing so, I have found great success in using animal assisted therapy in helping my clients with their anxiety, grief and anger.
