I became a therapist (I have a dual degree in both individual & family therapy) after beginning my own work over 2 decades ago. I see therapy as a tool, a valuable asset that helps us to pull from our history and present the things that work so our future can be everything we want.

As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with children, adolescents & adults in individual, marital, and couples therapy. My treatment is based on mutual understanding, respect, and trust. My therapeutic approach is Existential Phenomenological, heavily emphasizing Jungian psychology. I was introduced to Existential Phenomenology while attending the University of Dallas, where I completed my undergraduate degree in psychology. I obtained my master's in psychology at the University of West Georgia. Then, after several years, I returned to school to obtain a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Additional studies include play therapy, art therapy, SandPlay, family studies, psychophysiology, and neuropsychology. My eclectic tools range from expressive art therapies to cognitive behavioral techniques.

I am a Trauma Certified Family Life Educator, Researcher, and Coach. I am the owner of Bridging the Gaps Family Life Services where I offer family life coaching and education for families experiencing significant life transitions and distress. I am passionate about helping families in crisis and supporting women who are mothers of tweens, teens, and young adults who are experiencing identity distress and trauma. Many of my clients are looking for skills and resources to navigate overwhelm, chronic stress, caregiver fatigue, and maternal burnout while, also, creating deeper connections with their children, family, and friends.

I have worked with a diverse set of populations providing trauma therapy and neurofeedback therapy. Throughout my career, I have built trauma-focused programs at different mental health organizations. With a passion for working with combat veterans, I have also been a contracted Neurofeedback clinician with the Lone Survivor Foundation to serve those that served our nation. I led a trauma team in the Santa Fe District to implement systems and provide trauma-wellness counseling services to students and staff in the district in response to the May 18th mass violence tragedy at Santa Fe High School.
