I primarily work with adolescent males (i.e., ages 13-26), but I also have experience working with young adults who are single or married. I also have experience providing pre-marital through Prepare/Enrich for couples that are considering marriage. My work with clients addresses a range of issues, including family conflict, addiction, depression, anxiety, and other issues. I am trained to provide EMDR and Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP) to my clients in addition to bringing my training as a Certified Trauma Therapist (CTT-Intern) and a Sex Addiction Therapist (ASAT)to bear on these issues.

Transitional chapters in life frequently are a source of significant turmoil and conflict. We can choose to avoid these issues and allow them to compound or we can face them. By addressing the symptoms of trauma, family conflict, generational anxiety, or social pressures we will work together to resolve core hurts that trap us in their destructive cycles.

We specialize in helping those who are struggling with either trauma, addictions, or marital and family issues. We have on staff multiple therapists with certifications in Sexual Addiction, Chemical Addiction, Trauma, as well as EMDR (eye-movement, desensitization and reprocessing) and Brain-spotting. Each of our therapists are experienced and qualified to help clients work through anxiety and depression as well as numerous other issues that many people today are facing. What I enjoy the most about being a therapist is helping people discover hope and an empowering belief in themselves. As a Licensed Professional Counselor I have experience in a variety of therapeutic settings including both outpatient and residential where I have helped people of all ages work through personal difficulties that are keeping them from developing their full potential. I have helped individuals and families work through a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, grief and family conflict.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in couples therapy. I have worked as a therapist in a 90-Day Residential Treatment Center, Community Mental Health, and in Private Practice. I have led therapy intensives, group therapy, taught courses at the university level, and managed a therapeutic high and low ropes course.

I deeply enjoy the artwork of the therapy process. My goal is to help people find freedom and peace from traumas, addictions, unhealthy relationships, and destructive behaviors. I work with adults, adolescents, couples, children, and groups. My approach includes honesty and gentleness to build safety to face whatever obstacles are getting in the way.

Often seeking a professional therapist can be a difficult choice. I believe my job is to create a comfortable and safe environment to allow space for healing and resolution. Children and adults with post-traumatic stress issues holds a special place in my heart which is why I have a specialization in this area. As a licensed mediator as well, I believe it enhances my perspective on resolution to conflict which I utilize to also help my clients learn to manage and resolve conflict in a more effective and healthy way.

Two types of people seem to find me helpful. First type, stuck and looking for some wisdom. Second type, marked by some serious pain requiring specialized skills. I understand personally and professionally how hurt sometimes goes deep into a person's body, mind, and soul. Along the way I have discovered the joy of genuinely caring for people and celebrating the overcomers.

After working in the mental health field for 19 years I have found most issues leading to therapy are rooted from unresolved trauma. I believe an individual can heal from all of their trauma when working with a competently trained trauma healing therapist. I have seen young and old client's lives change, as well as, relationships improved through trauma healing. I work with individuals, relationships, and groups. I also have experience in sexual, chemical, and process addiction treatment. Further, I work with existential crises guiding clients to find meaning and purpose.

My passion is to help people find inner peace. I have been working and serving the Batesville and surrounding area for 13 years. As a licensed professional counselor, I currently work with adolescents, adults, and couples. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of settings, including: outpatient, acute, day treatment, school-based, and juvenile detention. I have been trained in treating trauma, and have a calling in life to help people heal, regain inner strength, and discover their sense of self.
