Choosing to pursue counseling is a brave and oftentimes nerve wracking experience. I make it my goal to put my clients at ease and work with them to create a comfortable and safe place where they can feel free to be their most authentic selves. I take the time to really get to know each individual and together we formulate a plan to uniquely address their therapeutic needs. The beauty of therapy is that it can be what you need it to be. The experience is unique to each individual. My therapeutic style relies of empathy and compassion paired with solid evidence based clinical skills to help my clients achieve lasting change.
Since I began in the mental health field in 2007 I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families in a variety of capacities including clinical therapy, group counseling, in-home services, child welfare reunification, partial hospitalization and school social work. I specialize in teen issues, play therapy & treating anxiety/depression.
Therapy can be challenging, raw and vulnerable, but it can also be inspiring, uplifting and downright fun! It is never too early or too late to grow, heal, and change. I truly believe that everyone has the power within them to defeat barriers, break negative patterns and live the life they want to live!
