Taking that first bold step to reach out to a therapist takes courage and strength. As a therapist in a variety of outpatient and school settings, I have provided therapy to children, adolescents and adults for over 20 years. I believe in providing much needed empathy and support but I will also put forth the necessary energy and effort to help challenge you to grow. Sometimes unhealthy patterns and coping strategies from the past are currently interfering in reaching personal goals or in experiencing fulfilling relationships.
I work with adolescents and adults and specialize in the treatment of anxiety and other mood disorders, relationship conflict, and underachievement in school or work goals. I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques depending on the unique needs of my clients which may include individual and/or joint sessions, and consultation with school personnel.
It is very important to me that throughout the therapy process clients feel heard, understood and challenged. Sometimes old wounds and traumatic experiences need to be revisited in the context of the present and I look forward to actively working with you and your significant others to begin the journey towards personal growth and mental wellness.
