Let's face it, life can be difficult. Sometimes emotions and circumstances feel overwhelming. Therapy offers a way to untangle your feelings and behaviors, offering the relief and distance needed to make sense of whatever is the matter, and process getting out from under it. As a therapist, I am active and engaged. We will collaborate to explore what's most distressing, and how best to resolve what is in your way, (whether emotional, relational, historical, professional,) to ultimately make meaningful, lasting changes that will allow you to feel invigorated and motivated to have the life you want and deserve.

Working for two decades with individuals and couples has continually shown me the value of therapy, and I have abundant respect for the courage it takes to seek help. I integrate relational, mindfulness, EFT, IFS and other talk therapy perspectives and, when it feels right for my clients, EMDR and Somatic Experiencing. These latter two modalities address trauma as well as many other areas of life. A certified EMDR consultant, I facilitate trainings and provide individual/group supervision for fellow therapists working with EMDR.

In cultivating a supportive and therapeutic relationship, it is my goal to help you reach your goals. I have 10+ years’ experience psychotherapist working with teens and adults. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, conflict resolution, work stress and more. As a therapist, my approach is collaborative, trauma informed and integrative; incorporating evidence-based approaches including (CBT) Cognitive Behavioral, (DBT) Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Emotion Focused Therapy.

It is my commitment to bring sensitivity, empathy, and presence as we move through the process of therapy together. I value your uniqueness and wish to help to guide you in the process of exploring and fulfilling your goals. We will address and work through the specific areas in your life that challenge you. I draw upon a multitude of modalities and tailor my approach to each individual's needs and wants. My work pulls from traditional psychoanalytic therapy, but draws upon an eclectic psycho therapeutic approaches. I treat people within the entire mental health spectrum including: anxiety, depression and substance abuse.

Starting therapy is a leap of faith at a time when hope is scarce. It is an act of courage. I prioritize symptom relief and stabilization, but I believe that lasting change and growth stem from a deeper understanding of our histories, relationships, internal worlds, and motivations. I work best with people who are willing to take a risk and become curious about their own complexity. I believe social and political environments, genetic predispositions, and intergenerational histories all interact to manifest our challenges and gifts. Ideally, my clients would be open to uncovering the many unconscious forces at play in their lives.

I have over fifteen years of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals and families, and I have been trained in various modalities, including EMDR. I have a caring and gentle approach, and work collaboratively with people to foster strengths so that they may ultimately live a life they value. I incorporate a wide range of approaches, including CBT and trauma-informed interventions, as well as psycho-dynamic and mindfulness approaches.
