Let's face it, life can be difficult. Sometimes emotions and circumstances feel overwhelming. As a therapist, I am active and engaged. We will collaborate to explore what's most distressing, and how best to resolve what is in your way, (whether emotional, relational, historical, professional), to make meaningful, lasting changes that will allow you to feel invigorated and motivated to have the life you want and deserve.
Because the nature of problems vary, the process is customized to your needs and will evolve depending upon any changes. I use eclectic modalities to best serve your process, including modern psychoanalytics, relational techniques, mindfulness, the mind/body connection, as well as concrete/solution-based tools of cognitive behavioral therapy.
With an extensive background in the arts, and as a published author, I incorporate creative, out-of-the-box thinking into the therapeutic process. I work with adolescents, adults, couples, specializing in anxiety, depression, anger, jealousy, shame, self-esteem, identity issues, relationship conflicts, parenting, intimacy, communication, loss, life-transitions, trauma.
