I am a seasoned clinician based in Brooklyn specializing in complex trauma and those suffering from or adjacent to someone with cancer. Somatic tools like EMDR and DBR are supported by an attachment based, interactive approach. Psychodynamic therapy helps us identify what's under the surface to tackle old habits, default behaviors, cognitive distortions that can cause symptoms like anxiety or depression. Trauma can be debilitating until you learn strategies to weaken its hold. Therapy is a partnership to strengthen your sense of self, create sustainable skills to cope with stressors, and feel effective in meeting your own needs.
My years as a psychotherapist have allowed me the privilege of witnessing remarkable changes. I know capacity and resiliency can be taught, that increasing tolerance is essential to growth as change can be painful. Together we will build your stamina to take on the challenge of change and help you feel effective, productive, valued in the world.
