I am a seasoned clinician based in Brooklyn with a background in relational, attachment based psychotherapy. A psychodynamic approach will help us identify what's under the surface to tackle old habits, default behaviors, cognitive distortions that can cause symptoms like anxiety or depression. Trauma can be debilitating until you learn strategies to weaken its hold. Therapy is a partnership to strengthen your sense of self, create sustainable skills to cope with stressors, feel effective in meeting your own needs. I utilize a wide variety of therapeutic approaches, adapted specifically for you including CBT and EMDR.
My years as a psychotherapist have allowed me the privilege of witnessing remarkable changes. I know capacity and resiliency can be taught, that increasing tolerance is essential to growth as change can be painful. Together we will build your stamina to take on the challenge of change and help you feel effective, productive, valued in the world.
Being vulnerable is very hard. I will bring experience, honesty, and empathy to our partnership. I'm available two evenings a week along with weekdays and welcome consultations. I accept most insurances through Headway and Alma and provide superbills to private pay clients out of network.
