I work with many types of clients, but my niche is working with adults with mental health issues, substance use disorders, and/or co-occurring disorders, as well as gambling disorders. I have extensive experience working with individuals who have PTSD and trauma, and specialize in working with veterans, as well as first responders. For the past 6 years, I have been working as a Readjustment Counselor at the South Jersey Vet Center. I hold a certification as an LCADC (Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor), and am also an ICGC-II (International Certified Gambling Counselor level 2).
I use an eclectic approach- primarily CBT, but will also use motivational interviewing and mindfulness techniques depending on the needs of the client. I do my best to meet each client where they are, find out what their goals for therapy are, and work with clients to figure out the best way to work together to achieve those goals!
