I care deeply about supporting those who are struggling and accompanying them on their path toward healing. Healing is more than just surviving, it’s about thriving; and it can take time and extra support to get there. As a social worker and a therapist, I am honored to join in people’s healing process while leveraging their strengths and building supports around them. As your therapist, I will work with you to get from where you are to where you want to be. My therapeutic style relies on authenticity, empathy, and trust to provide a supportive environment for growth and change.

Therapy, to me, is a profound opportunity for individuals, couples, and families to embark on a journey of self-discovery, healing, and empowerment. Drawing from a humanistic, solution-focused, and non-judgmental approach, I aim to create a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their innermost thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Whether working with individuals, couples, or families, my goal is simple: to help clients feel seen, heard, and understood in their therapeutic journey. Together, we will explore the possibilities, uncover strengths, and chart a course toward a more fulfilling and authentic life.

I am a person-centered therapist, meaning that I focus on genuineness, unconditional positive regard and empathetic understanding to facilitate growth and recovery for individuals across the lifespan who are dealing with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma, relationship/interpersonal distress, parenting issues, adjustment problems, and life transitions.
I find it rewarding beyond words to be allowed to share in my patient's unique life experiences and witness their growth and transformation. It is an honor to be trusted with another person's inner world and to be able to build a therapeutic relationship that helps them recover from whatever difficulties that they are experiencing. I provide a therapeutic space in a comfortable, home-like atmosphere that deviates from the "going to the local mental health center" experience.

Building a warm, authentic, trusting therapy relationship helps you take the risk of exploring, understanding, and accepting yourself so you can open up to new tools for moving yourself forward.
Everyone has a story, a struggle, a painful time they go through and sometimes we need someone to help us through these times and listen to our story. Challenges and painful times are all part of our human experience and can affect anyone at any time no matter your age, gender, economic status, or where you live. These challenges and other life changes are not easy, but navigating through the changes they bring are possible. I will work with you during these challenging times to find your renewed strength & hope, and support you at where you are in your journey.

In my career I have worked with adults, children, families, and couples all with diverse backgrounds and mental health concerns.
I believe in providing all of my clients with the best therapy possible by using an approach that fits who they are as a person. I want my clients to have a safe, open space to be themselves, ask for what they need, and feel comfortable every time they come in. Therapy is a place of vulnerability that only works if the client can fully engage in the process and feel confident in their therapist. I strive to help clients reach a space where real healing is achieved and to have them leave sessions feeling understood and closer to their goals.

Having a space where you can feel comfortable sharing about what life has asked of you and what it is offering you can be powerful. Feeling seen, heard, and understood seems rare these days. Sitting alongside client’s as they navigate seasons of their lives, reflect on past versions of themselves, live within this season and bridge to their future is a blessing.

Couples Counseling Therapists

Does couples counseling work?

Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?

Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?

The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?

The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
