I work with adult individuals of all ages and life stages, especially those who want to deepen their self-understanding and growth. I enjoy helping people work through a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, low self esteem, eating and substance misuse. I particularly like helping people to improve romantic and work relationships. Open communication and trust are essential in creating an intimate relationship that thrives. Gaining self understanding is often the key to becoming a more tactful and therefore effective communicator.
I work with adults struggling with such issues as self-worth, lack of trust, shame / fear, anxiety, depression. Couples sometimes have intimacy challenges, conflicted family relationships, communication and trust issues. I work collaboratively to create a accepting environment in which to explore unresolved issues interfering with positiveness, self-acceptance, confidence
I have learned how to help those who over do: who eat impulsively, who over drink, who speak without a thoughtful filter, who shop compulsively, who procrastinate. Through practical suggestions and an understanding of the inner dynamics of overdoing it, people can learn to become moderate or abstinent.
