Counseling also involves the sharing of personal problems, concerns, and stories with a professional who is skilled at helping the client or clients come to a resolution or solution about their particular situation. The general goals for the client are that he or she can identify the issue(s), develop a plan of action, and then implement that plan to move forward and progress in spite of their spiritual, emotional and/or mental setbacks.

Love & Respect Counseling provides services for a variety of mental health issues (depression, trauma, loss/grief, anxiety, marital counseling, other relationship issues, issues related to military service, etc.) in a private practice setting. It is a warm, inviting space where the goal is for you to feel hopeful and encouraged while you engage in the counseling process. Counseling is a collaborative process and we will work together to achieve a desired outcome.

I view therapy as having three heavy hitters for deep lasting healing. 1) EMDR to neutralize your past adverse events; big & little traumas and 2) Grieving effectively by releasing your sadness and then using skills to stop returning to sad or bad thoughts and 3) Choosing an Attitude of Healing to forgive yourself and others. This will culminate in living an empowered, calm and confident life. My clients set weekly goals and amaze me with their determination and willingness to go the distance to grow, mature and experience full healing. My teachings and handouts are creative and original.
