Many individuals, families, and couples realize at some juncture in their lives that they need professional assistance in order to successfully navigate or cope with overwhelming situations, strained interpersonal relationships (e.g., discord with a romantic partner), or intense emotional responses to their environment (e.g., sadness, or excessive worrying). In addition, most people are also confronted by situations in which their past experiences dictate their current reactions, responses, and behaviors. Although most individuals experience some variation of the same challenges, most often, people seek additional support when the problems begin to impact their daily functioning and relationships with others.
Therapy allows individuals to develop insight into their decisions and feel hopeful about their future. In my practice, I work with adults who are experiencing an array of challenges. We work together to better understand the underpinnings of their thoughts, feelings, and actions while making permanent changes.
As a licensed psychologist, I utilize a variety of therapeutic methods as well as life coaching techniques (e.g., practical problem-solving approaches). After identifying difficulties and establishing goals, I develop an individualized treatment prescription. Ultimately, clients become more self aware, make more adaptive choices, and live a more emotionally healthy life.
