I was born and raised in Pittsburgh. I earned my doctorate at Nova University School of Professional Psychology, my Master's Degree at Duquesne University, and my Bachelor's Degree from Washington and Jefferson College. I completed an APA approved internship at the VA Medical Center in Salem Virginia. My almost thirty years experience is in both inpatient and outpatient psychotherapy, and have worked in private practice since 1985. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. I treat a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, relationship issues, anger management, ADD/ADHD/ODD, loss, behavioral management, and thought disorders.

A patient presents with concerns regarding impulsive decision-making and wanting to change relationship patterns. She was recently diagnosed with postpartum after giving birth 30 days prior. I received my doctorate in counseling psychology at Chatham University. Throughout my education and training I obtained experience working with individuals of all ages. My work focuses primarily on serving those who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, attachment disorders, borderline personality disorder, and behavioral problems. I have received training in multiple forms of individual talk therapy, play therapy, and family therapy. I prioritize viewing each of my clients as a unique individual and I integrate/match elements of various therapeutic styles based on client preferences and needs.
