Dimensions of Wellness Counseling is a counseling practice that provides quality, accessible, inexpensive mental health and whole wellness services to children, adolescents, and adults in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. The purpose of this practice is to provide services that look at the whole person and to meet each individual's needs based on the principles of the Dimensions of Wellness, which is why a one-size fits all approach to counseling is not utilized.

At our office, I offer individual adult counseling services to clients who are dealing with a wide range of concerns. If you happen to be struggling with some life difficulties – anxiety, depression, self-esteem problems, reliving the trauma of past abuses – and these things are interfering with your ability to live in the present and enjoy your day-to-day life, then I want you to know it CAN get better. YOU can get better at facing your life issues, learning to deal with them, and forging a new and better future for yourself. I am here to help with that.

I work with clients struggling with unhealthy coping skills and dysfunctional survival traits as an adaptation to a deeper issue. Those struggling with personality disorders, codependency, trauma, OCD, anxiety, perfectionism and eating disorders are among my areas of expertise. Trauma populations include but are not limited to sexual trauma, military trauma, spiritual trauma, emotional, physical, neglect and abandonment. I also enjoy working with children for a variety of issues including anxiety, adjustment, and behavioral disorders.

Amy Jones is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor with 5 years experience in the mental health field. She is passionate about helping adults and couples address their unique challenges and live more fulfilled lives. Amy specializes in depression, substance use disorder, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, and personality disorders. She is experienced in helping people with severe mental illness and people with disabilities learn to cope, adjust, and thrive. Amy completed her Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling at the University of North Texas.

I have 8 years of experience working with children in schools and clinical settings. I love to offer play-based interventions to children who are struggling with anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, trauma, and other issues. I am also a Ph.D. candidate with research focusing on LGBTQ individuals and religious trauma. I love walking alongside LGBTQ folks as they navigate the stressors a heteronormative world places on their lives. I believe the client is in charge of the therapeutic process.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, I am specifically trained in using evidence based, empirically supported cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with clients who are facing challenges of medical disability, depression, anxiety, trauma, chronic pain, and sleep related disorders.
