I specialize in helping individuals process and alleviate feelings of anxiety, panic and depression, as well as offering insight to help understand your unique responses and attachments in the mind and body. I incorporate meditative and yogic methods, encouraging internal regulation while rebuilding safety in self. Every person experiences blind spots in their narrative that can create challenges in life, so together we can illuminate a new path for expansive healing and personal growth!

The clients that I commonly work with are clients that are ready for a change. They have either tried to change on their own, or they have realized that in order to have lasting change they need a good support system. Many clients that I work with deal with depression, anxiety, bipolar, personality disorders, substance use issues, relationship issues, and issues dealing with daily life.

Somethings can be so sensitive or difficult we cannot talk to those who are involved. Maybe we need to discuss issues with those we are closest to us but can't or don't know how without causing conflict. At times we need someone who will listen judgment free. Relationships (self and with others) become “complicated” and impact our ability to function in our lives and cause distress and/or dysfunction often leading to poor coping and adapting skills, leading to depression, anxiety, suicide idealization, etc. Our sessions end organically. Our focus is on you and not arbitrary time restraints. We also offer 24 hour emergency support.

Hello! My name is Kishla Preston and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Georgia, Alabama and Florida. I have been practicing for the past 9 years and have loved every moment of it. I have had the heart to help others since the age of 10. So much so, that, in high school, I ended up taking custody of the 2-month-old child of a family friend until he was age 2, while his mother gained stability. That be said, I have a special place in my heart for children, young adults and mothers. My personal goal for every client I meet is to make their lives a little bit better than it was before we found one another.

I began working in the mental health field as the Executive Director of the Mental Health Association of Mobile, Alabama. I was an educator and advocate for persons with mental health issues for ten years. During that time, I went back to school and got my Master's degree in counseling and I have been a counselor for 24 years. I've worked in mental health centers, employee assistance programs, child protective services and private practice settings. I currently work as an online counselor for BetterHelp.
