I work with adults, teens, transition age youth, and their families. I help them manage anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral concerns. This includes high achievers struggling with perfectionism/anxiety, depressed clients where brushing their teeth in the morning was a success, those going through or post a divorce, families who are struggling to get along or function, and anyone experiencing a change in life that causes stress. It is my aim to help clients understand both themselves and their relationships more fully.

Struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, or however your distress manifests makes us feel trapped, in cycles of outbursts or avoidance, and coping in ways that are not sustainable. We blame ourselves bringing us further from feeling connected and closer to feeling ashamed. Typically what we see on the surface is mistaken for ourself and is our way to cope with the issues that lie underneath. I have over 15 years of experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, and interpersonal relationships. I believe everyone already has the wisdom inside to heal but sometimes layers of trauma or pain can make it difficult to do so, and often causes symptoms such as anxiety and depression. I work with you to process traumas that can block the feeling of safety, content and happiness inside. I am trained in EMDR (an evidence based trauma therapy tool) that is used to process and heal traumas so that the system can rest and no longer has to fight to protect against the pain, fear, and emotions.
