I am a counselor who truly feels honored to be working alongside adult clients to help facilitate the change they need in their life. In addition to being a therapist, I have worked in higher education since 2006 as a college professor and even an adviser, so I have the passion and the knowledge base required for working with college aged clients. In addition, I have years of experience working with adults who have experienced trauma, or struggle with anxiety, depression, personal, or marital issues.

I enjoy empowering clients to restructure and reframe their sense of self as well as create goals for their future. I enjoy watching a clients’ shift in perspective as they learn the art of being kind to themselves and showing themselves grace. I help guide clients through the intricacies of relationships by developing stronger and happier connections by setting healthy boundaries and incorporating healthy self-care routines into their lives.

I enjoy working with all types of people to improve emotional wellbeing and gain a positive outlook on life. I believe that all of us have the tools and abilities to create the quality of life that we desire. Along with support, insight, and understanding it is possible to gain control over life and find relief for emotional and mental distress. I work with individuals, families, couples, and parents to address the challenges and stresses that are present in life.

I have been practicing Clinical Social for 47 years. In 1988 I began in private practice of psychotherapy. 12 years ago I realized my passion was in the specialty of Marital Therapy. My goal is to facilitate troubled marriages to not just survive, but to thrive. I believe in the sanctity of marriage, and we will work very hard together to maintain that relationship.I am psychodynamically trained but utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment therapy and insight oriented couples therapy. Couples find me non threatening and easy to connect with. We will not seek to blame, but to truth tell.

I work with teens and adults (15+) who struggle with depression, anxiety, poor self-esteem, grief, and interpersonal issues by providing a safe place to talk and be heard without judgment. I'm passionate about helping teens and young adults manage their mental health issues and struggles of daily life. I love talking with and listening to my clients and I encourage activities that foster positive coping skills.
