I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10 years of experience in the State of Louisiana, and 2 years of experience working in the State of New Jersey (teletherapy). I am passionate about helping my clients work through life's many challenges, while offering an empathetic, non-judgmental ear and helping individuals realize their full potential. It is my role to support and assist you in exploring your past and present life experiences while helping you identify patterns in thoughts, behaviors, and emotions that can both inhibit and support your growth.

I am a licensed Professional Counselor and a Qualified Family and Divorce Mediator, and Parenting Coordinator. I received my Master's degree from Our Lady of Holy Cross College and my mediation training through The Mediation Institute. My experience is working with children, adolescents and adults of all ages. I also work with families and couples.

Guided by a relational/narrative approach to therapy with a systems lens, I view clients as emergent beings who come from communities and stories that can enliven or constrict their sense of self, safety, belonging, and freedom. In a society that encourages isolation and disconnection, I have seen the profound healing that can happen when people feel safe enough to be witnessed and explore through relationship. I work with people who struggle with painful pasts or parts of themselves and aim to create a space where people can move into greater relationship with themselves, their values, and desires.

My name is Lindsey Sudduth and I am a psychotherapist who has been in practice for 17 years. My primary focus is working with school/college age students and young/ middle aged professionals who struggle with trying to find balance, meaning and direction in their lives. I help my clients in working through issues within their past that create barriers in their present. We all long for acceptance and a sense of belonging in this world. I provide clients with an understanding of how to create a genuine sense of self and connection to others.

I work with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD or grief from all walks of life. I have 7+ years of experience supporting clients in deepening their understanding of themselves in order to create meaning and change in their lives. During our time together, I will listen carefully and support you in processing pain and joy. We will work together to identify root causes and develop coping skills that work for you. Therapy is a two-way effort entailing mutual respect, responsibility, and consideration between you and your counselor. I have had the opportunity to work in the medical profession prior to my working as a therpaist. I worked as a nurse in many disciplines and particularly psychiatry, learning how to treat mental health issues at the extreme of the mental health disorders. I am now working as an independent therpist and have worked primarily in the field of chemical dependency treatment and am presently treating clients in my private practice with diagnoses of chemical dependency, anxiety, depression, and other issues with mental health. I prefer to work collaratively with clients where we, together develop a plan of care for the client's goals.

There are times when we all struggle to make sense of the world and our place in it. And there are times in life when we all need help, support and guidence to work our way through lifes challenges. Most of my clients are ordinary people who have been sexually abused as children or adults, or are from alcoholic families, or are struggling with alcoholism in their current life. They may be having difficulty adjusting to changing circumstaaances in their lives due to divorce or loss of a family member or friend. Many of my clients are experiencing depression or anxiety or chronic worry.
