I began working in Mental Health 32 years ago in Chicago and I found my calling. I provide counseling and support to a variety of individuals. I work with individuals who live with schizophrenia, psychotic disorders, bipolar, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, trauma and grief. Clients want to be heard, to be validated that their experiences are real, their experiences are hard and painful. With support and a non judgmental environment , clients can learn ways in which to manage their symptoms, reduce them and recover.

I am Kyle Wockenfuss, a licensed mental health practitioner in the state of Nebraska and I am pleased you are considering taking control of your wellness. I firmly believe we all have the capacity to have a healthy, meaningful, and satisfying life regardless of the challenges we sometimes encounter. For these reasons, among others, I became a professional counselor and educator. I have worked in a variety of placements, including college-counseling centers, inpatient services, and in private practice.

Over the years, I have spent a great deal of time working with children and adults who have experienced traumatic events. These traumatic events may be difficult to understand and can impact our daily interactions at school, home, and work. When those experiences become overwhelming, working with a therapist who is specifically trained in trauma can be very helpful to the individual and family. In addition to providing services for trauma, I work closely with individuals (of all ages) who have anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, and chronic medical conditions. Clinical services may be provided in the office, home, school or via telehealth.

I have worked in the health care field for twenty years serving those adjusting to life's transitions. I have gained much insight into helping individuals find ways to not only cope but to experience joy again. I hope to bring increased self-awareness and encourage client's to find new paths that bring greater peace to whatever stress is contributing to anxiety, depression and other adjustment issues.
