I am a dedicated mental health therapist with a passion for fostering growth and healing in my clients. Using a person-centered approach, I strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of rejection. I support clients to explore their internal and external worlds to discover who they are and develop healthy coping skills and relationships with themselves and others to live more fulfilling lives. I am IFS informed and have found this to be a very powerful therapy tool to use with clients experiencing anxiety or depression, or who have a trauma history.

Trauma recovery just got easier thanks to the new therapy Deep Brain Reorienting. Our bodies respond to shocking stimuli in under 1 second and the neuroscience behind these responses is now being applied to psychotherapy. There are ways to "unwind" from the residual shock symptoms that can be held beneath our conscious awareness. DBR is an alternative to EMDR and standard talk therapies, as it focuses on bodily responses and sensations.

Most of us aren't really sure why we think what we do about ourselves, where our insecurities have come from, and sometimes whether or not anything in our lives, now or previously, really rises to the level of trauma. I've seen many clients who don't understand how they can be so anxious, so critical of themselves, or so depressed.
