Hi! Do you struggle with low self-esteem? You may find yourself making negative comments about yourself, being overly self-critical, or blaming yourself for things that go wrong. I help women struggling with low self-esteem grow their love and acceptance for themselves so that they can reduce anxiety and feel at peace within. Many of us struggle with a harsh inner critic telling us that we're not good enough, smart enough, pretty enough, etc. In sessions, I focus on creating an emotionally safe space so that together, we can work towards your goals of quieting the inner critic and growing your self-esteem so you feel good enough!

KCC clinicians specialize in trauma and work from a trauma-informed platform. What this means is that we treat various mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and substance use from the idea that trauma has affected the individual’s overall mental health. We also treat Dissociative Disorders, are rainbow allies and seek to provide a nurturing, empathetic environment for our clients. We also enthusiastically celebrate all diversity and have specific skills and experience in relation to working with the disabled minority. There are times when everyone needs to strengthen his or her coping skills, see the situation from another view, or simply say it aloud. There are also times when the work that needs to be done is very serious. And deep. And difficult.

Deciding to seek therapy is a courageous step toward improving your life situation and finding the right therapist is an important part of that process. Since 2013, I have been a Professional Counselor in Michigan and have worked in various settings including clients' homes and schools, crisis stabilization centers, and outpatient mental health offices. I know that a successful experience in therapy begins with the development of a genuine and honest connection between client and therapist, and I work to provide my clients with a non-judgmental, supportive, and safe therapeutic environment.

When I ask new clients to tell me something they like about themselves I often hear silence or the new client struggles to answer the question. When life feels overwhelming and burdensome it can become significantly difficult to remember our positive attributes. I promise you those positive qualities are there. Together we will identify your strengths and abilities to develop the coping skills necessary to overcome the challenges you are experiencing. I am dedicated in providing effective, confidential, and compassionate counseling care that meets the individual needs of my clients.
