Life can be complicated. Therapy doesn’t need to make it more complicated. Sometimes you know exactly what’s wrong. Other times, you just know something isn’t working anymore. I work with adults and couples navigating relationships, anxiety, trauma, grief, parenting, divorce, and life transitions. As owner and clinical director of Portal Point Counseling, I’ve built a team with different specialties, personalities, and approaches. We don’t believe one therapist is right for everyone. Whether you work with me or someone on our team, we’ll help you find the right fit and figure out what comes next.

My work focuses on relationships and couples, women’s issues, trauma, veterans, first responders, and military families. My approach is relational, practical, and informed by advanced training in NARM and trauma care. I also offer Equine-Facilitated Psychotherapy for clients who may benefit from doing meaningful work beyond the traditional office.

My office may have four walls, but it doesn’t have filters. You don’t need the right words or everything figured out before you walk in. My style is warm, straightforward and honest. I listen, but I also engage, offer perspective and challenge you when it’s helpful. If something isn’t working anymore, reach out. Wherever you are, we’ll start there.
