Let's face it, sometimes life is challenging. Sometimes we feel overwhelmed in areas of life that were supposed to be simple. Normal stress seems more stressful especially with work, school and daily demands. Sometimes the people we love the most (friends and family) don't quite understand what to say or do to help and what they DO say makes it worse. Everyone has some experience and/or issue that is keeping them from living the life they always wanted. I have a very eclectic approach to therapy. I believe we are all unique individuals with unique situations. There isn't a "perfect therapy" approach that works for everyone.

My ideal client is a child, person, or family who is ready for change. Due to my play therapy training, it is also important for the client to be willing to participate in hands on activities in addition to traditional talk therapy.

My approach is warm, reflective, trauma-informed and rooted in healing and emotional understanding. I believe that therapists themselves are therapy; that we do not just provide it. This is why I put intention into building a trusting foundation with clients through an understanding and nonjudgemental, empathetic relationship. I meet clients' needs by listening to the emotions behind their words and making connections to help them see things in new ways. I am passionate in helping clients to see their own strengths and potential and pushing for them to feel deserving of healing and reaching their goals.

A lot of the people I work with look like they have it together from the outside. They're keeping up with responsibilities, showing up for others, and doing what needs to get done. But underneath, there's anxiety, exhaustion, or a quiet sense that something isn't working. Some are navigating trauma that doesn't always look obvious, relationship patterns they keep repeating, or a version of themselves they don't fully understand yet. Others are couples who love each other but keep getting stuck in the same arguments. If any of that sounds familiar, you're in the right place.

Whether you struggle with the racing thoughts, and scary physical sensations of panic attacks and anxiety, or the sadness, emptiness and fatigue common with depression, you feel unable to live your life the way things are now. No longer able to 'push through' your feelings, you feel drained, and unsure what to do. Your family may not always understand therapy, but you recognize that you would be helped by talking with someone who gets it, who has the training, empathy, and insight to help you through this time in your life. You're not looking for a quick fix, but long-lasting change and insight. Accepting new clients (8/11/2021)
