Big, important life changes can be overwhelming and difficult to work through by yourself. Whether it is the natural growth and self-discovery that occurs during adolescence and young adulthood, or an intentional (or unforeseen!) change of trajectory later in life, having a safe space to explore and work through these changes with a therapist can be both healing and empowering. It has been my pleasure to help adolescents to older adults. My clients often include people dealing with troubling relationship issues, pre-marriage and marriage concerns, marital affairs, stress, anxiety and depression. Many also come to help identify and resolve the issues holding them back from getting in to strong intimate relationships. The conversations fall apart and they don't know the skills for having successful conversations about difficult topics. Depression and anxiety are the most frequent symptoms motivating clients to pursue psychotherapy. Other issues include, parenting, self-control, low self-esteem, sense of emptiness/ stagnation and creative blocks.

There is nothing I enjoy more than to see the transformation that can take place during the therapy process. My therapeutic approach is a bit different in that I believe we were all born with the tools we need to heal ourselves in our own unique ways. I understand my job as a therapist to be someone who helps another person find those tools within themselves and in doing recognize their strengths, their worth, and their ability to make meaning. The population of clients that I typically work with are single adults, couples, and adolescents. The latter hold a special place in my heart as I can remember my own teen years so vividly and therefore have a tremendous amount of compassion for what they are going through.
