I am holistically oriented, aiming to facilitate awareness, expression and integration within body, emotions, mind and spirituality.
As a warm, heart-centered, holistic therapist, I am deeply interested in accompanying my clients in their journey to health, happiness, and wholeness. In facilitating a safe healing space for adults, we gently explore what emerges in the present moment, letting the session organically unfold. I am welcoming clients who want to step into an authentic, more peaceful, more empowered and expansive place within themselves. I work with those experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, relationship turmoil, spiritual or existential issues, grief, life transitions, women's issues, co-dependency, abuse, trauma, or those simply wanting to find deeper contentment in their lives.

Examining and setting goals for your health, relationships, mindset and spirituality will help you become the person you were meant to be.
For as long as you can remember you have been good at keeping it all together. You are the go-to person everyone brings their problems to. You love helping others but you often wonder "who is there for me?" Perhaps life changes have caught you unprepared and you are not equipped to handle this new reality. You struggle to balance your career, money, relationships, parenting, and health. You look in the mirror and wonder where did YOU go. This feeling disconnected can negatively impact you and your marriage or relationship. If this is you....we should talk.

Sufi poet, Rumi, once said; "Don't be satisfied with stories, how things have gone with others. Unfold your own myth." Many of us are living a life that has been pre-defined in various ways. We have been constricted by our fears; shamed by our challenges; troubled by identity concerns, and confined by the limits and expectations of our family, friends, and environment. Is this the best reality for you, or does your authentic self have a greater idea for your life? I can help individuals, couples, and families unfold a more positive, authentic, and powerful future.

Couples are encouraged to choose the Couples Intensive, a 6 week marriage restoration and healing course. Owning our story and giving ourselves compassion for the rest of our journey is the bravest thing that we will ever do.

I’ve always been an "old soul” and felt drawn to finding deeper meaning in a chaotic world. I’m deeply interested in others’ stories and understanding how we grow, heal and thrive. I primarily work with individuals and couples who have experienced trauma, loss, anxiety, OCD, depression, relationship issues and career issues. I’ve often found myself in awe at how the human spirit can weather even the greatest of storms. When I’m not seeing clients, you’ll find me spending time with my family, playing tennis or golf and enjoying the outdoors.

Spirituality Therapists

What should I expect from therapy that incorporates a focus on spirituality?

Spirituality can mean different things to different individuals, depending on their experiences, beliefs, and life histories. Some individuals focus on strengthening their belief system, while others experience spirituality in secular ways, such as through meditation, yoga, or by spending time in nature. Clients can expect a therapist to help guide and grow their spirituality through any of these techniques, encouraging the individual to cope with the challenges they face and develop strategies to build resilience and purpose to improve their outlook in life.

What are the most common treatments that include spirituality?

There are several treatments that incorporate spirituality. Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) helps a person examine and reframe their negative thoughts and behaviors. Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) focuses on emotional acceptance and psychological flexibility. Existential therapy is most often used to address anxiety, depression, grief, loneliness, apathy, despair, questions of identity, and feelings of purposelessness and existential dread. Transpersonal therapy focuses on a client’s spirituality and meaning in life and may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork.

Can therapy incorporating spirituality help atheistic or agnostic individuals?

Yes. For non-believers, spirituality can offer benefits including a greater sense of connection to others and to the natural world. An interest in spirituality may also spur individuals to pursue mindfulness practices, or to contemplate their purpose in life and how to achieve it.

How effective is spirituality as a therapeutic remedy?

Research suggests spirituality is generally beneficial for individuals. It is correlated with better health habits, such as less substance use, and an improved capacity to cope with stress and other mental health challenges. Increased spirituality can lead individuals to become more empathic and less materialistic, as well.
