My road to becoming a mental health provider has been quite the journey. I served over 27 years as an active duty Soldier in the Army with multiple combat deployments. Durning my military service, I discovered that I loved helping people get through tough places in their lives. Today, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Columbia, SC. Since earning a Masters Degree in Professional Counseling from South University in 2014, I have counseled for the South Carolina Youth Advocate Program Counseling, Anderson Counseling and Education, the South Carolina Department of Corrections and Better Help.

Emerging or transitioning out of bad situation can be difficult without the right support and advice. Dr. Clay currently does couples counseling, premarital sessions, career counseling, co-parenting after seperation or divorce. I am happy to announce that very soon, I will begin taking clients who need to be diagnosed with Autism.

As a solution-focused therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life.

Life is a journey full of joy, disappointment, fear, courage, unexpected blessings and unplanned circumstance. We encounter barriers that appear to block our dreams from reality and challenges that make us feel unworthy and incapable of ever achieving success. The purpose of the journey, however, is to GROW through every adversity and every triumph and flourish. My ideal client seeks to be empowered through their growth process to achieve clarity, self-awareness and self-development. Although growth can be painful, the goal is to thrive after the breakthrough and to allow the transformation to better themselves and others.

I treat clients who struggled with life experiences ranging from childhood trauma, abuse, family and relationship conflict, polyamorous relationships, kink, substance and alcohol use and abuse, etc. Clients may require live video sessions or telephone sessions to which I provide Monday through Friday from 8am to as late as 8pm some nights depending on client needs. I work to help clients create and achieve goals that focus on creating and maintaining a positive future. My clients want to live healthier lives with minimal experience with anxiety, depression, or other mental health challenges.

Laly Rodriguez has over 15 years of experience providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Laly is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the states of North Carolina and South Carolina. She is also a Nationally Certified Master Addiction Counselor (MAC). She received her undergraduate degree in Social Work, and her graduate degrees in, Psychology and Mental Health Counseling. She holds a Doctorate degree, and is certified in Addictions, CBT, DBT, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, Solution focused, PTSD, and TBI

As the CEO and Founder of She's Counseling, I understand people suffer from a wide variety of self-destructive behaviors and each person is unique with unique treatment needs. At She's Counseling, my mission is to find what works best for each individual and to treat everyone with respect and compassion.
