I work with individuals, couples, and other relational systems to clarify purpose and priorities. I seek to help clients learn the skills that support what is most important to them, instead of the defaults that got wired in through past experiences. My work is presence focused, with meditation, mindfulness and somatic awareness as important practices. My hope for clients is that their brains and nervous systems can be rewired away from trauma responses and towards having the capacity for the way of experiencing life they desire.
My approach tends to be psychoeducational and somatic and mindfulness/meditation centered. I enjoy studying how the brain, mind and behaviors function, so there is focus on developing a more nuanced understanding of oneself. I have studied Gottman's work, and appreciate exploring what works and does not work in healthy relationship.
