As a therapist, Katelyn is thoughtful, nonjudgmental, and compassionate. Her approach is trauma-informed and strengths-based, which means that she takes care to establish a safe and supportive environment for change and assists clients with uncovering already-present skills and strengths in order to support them in enacting the changes they'd like to make.
Katelyn's therapeutic approach is individually tailored to her clients' needs and interests, and may utilize ACT, CBT, DBT skills, mindfulness, & creative interventions like writing/art activities. Katelyn is trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ competent/affirming, and a culturally competent therapist. She works with individuals aged 16 and up, families, and couples.
