Hi, I’m Kimberly Laudin and I’m so glad you decided to read my bio! I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and I unquestionably love what I do. I’ve worked with a variety of mental health issues, having extensive experience working with anxiety disorders, eating disorders, OCD and related disorders, trauma (PTSD/C-PTSD), self-esteem, depression, disordered eating, and body dysmorphia. I take a Health in Every Size (HAES) and Intuitive Eating (IE) approach providing a warm and non-judgment environment. The decision to start therapy can be difficult, but I’m here to extend you with that emotional safety, guidance and support.

When confronted with unforeseen challenges, we often do not know how to approach them and feel overwhelmed in the process. These challenges or experiences could be internal, interpersonal, environmental, or all the above. I have been a practicing clinical social worker for over 15 years. I have extensive experience working as a school social worker, addiction counselor and private practitioner. I incorporate different types of treatment modalities into my sessions, based on the issues and people that I am working with. My client base consists of tweens to adults and I work with individuals, couples and families.

I believe being compassionate, open-minded, and culturally competent allows me to understand the stressors in a person's day-to-day life. I have an ample amount of experience with children and adolescents, as well as families, individuals, and couples. People often say, I don't know why I do that, referring to an unfavorable behavior. This is evidence of our unconscious. We are all products of our earliest emotional conditioning. That is fine, if your parents were wonderful, loving, and understanding. For the majority of people, there was some form of negligence and/or dysfunction that occurred due to the complexities of child rearing. We tend to push away what is good for us and seek what is familiar. Unconsciously, we will repeat negative relationship patterns unless addressed. We all are deserving and able to be the best version of ourselves.
