I earned my medical degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine after which I completed an Adult Psychiatry residency at St. Vincent Medical Center in New York City and a Child Psychiatry Fellowship at Georgetown University. I also completed an Addiction Medicine Fellowship at The Cleveland Clinic. I opened my private practice in 1993. Komal Singh, M.D. is a graduate of Avalon University School of Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital with additional fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Virginia Hospital. Dr. Singh provides psychiatric evaluations and treatment services to children and adolescents. Dr. Singh focuses on taking a personalized approach that takes into account all aspects of the mental health of each individual patient when determining the best method of treatment. Her treatment recommendations include medications, therapy, and lifestyle changes.

Dr. Cordelia Nieketien-Tawari is a licensed Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from UMASS. She has 20+ years of experience in providing mental healthcare in medication management and therapy services. She has expertise in treating life span-children to the elderly patients. Dr. Embrey is an integrative and holistic child and adult psychiatrist in Washington DC. She is also seeing patients in Virginia, Maryland, and Wisconsin (virtually). Having trained at Johns Hopkins, she treats psychiatric illnesses with an approach that involves evaluation and treatment via traditional psychiatric methods, medications, and therapy. Dr. Noah Matilsky is a Psychiatrist in Virginia who has been practicing since 2012. He served for 3 years in the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) as a combat medic treating young soldiers in the field. He received his M.D. degree from the faculty of medicine at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology and continued residency training in psychiatry at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) in Norfolk Virginia. He completed his fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of South Florida (USF) and returned to live in Virginia Beach in 2017, where he feels right at home.

I am a doctor of nursing practice (DNP) and a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP- BC) who works mainly with children and adolescents but I am trained to see young adults as well. I have 20 years of experience working in an inpatient setting with children, adolescents and their families. My experiences in mental health care throughout the lifespan in the inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient settings has helped me develop a rich understanding of the unique challenges in this population.

I believe in allowing clients to have a safe space to be their authentic self and feel comfortable in doing so.
