I am a Georgetown University trained psychiatrist with an extensive postgraduate training and experience. I practice evidence-based psychopharmacology, psychodynamic psychotherapy and integrative medicine. I specialize in intense short-term dynamic psychotherapy (ISTDP) that can lead to rapid and permanent recovery from a wide range of problems including anxiety, depression, loneliness, self-esteem and relationship problems, anger management issues, self-destructive behaviors and psychosomatic conditions. This model of therapy is very efficient and often works, even when previous therapies failed, or were only partially successful.

At Sound Body & Mind Psychiatric Services, we recognize that both emotional and physical factors contribute to the development of psychiatric symptoms. Genetics, environment and specific stressors or traumatic events can also play an important role. Finally, an individual's character, personality, temperament, and resilence all contribute to the clinical picture, and can shape the types of symptoms we see and the prognosis. No two individuals are exactly alike and therefore, no two individuals experience psychiatric symptoms in the exact same way. This is why we create a unique treatment plan to target your specific experience.

Golda is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who manages and treats a wide range of mental health concerns including mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and insomnia, and life transitions. She has 24 years of acute care experience and possesses strong critical care skills. She focuses her practice on providing quality and evidenced-based care to her clients while using a compassionate approach. Golda graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, and then received her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Walden University.

She completed her Nursing degree at Southside Regional Medical Center School of Nursing, received her Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Old Dominion University, and her Master's degree in Nursing from Liberty University. Angela completed her post-Master's Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner ANCC Board Certification from the University of Cincinnati and is currently working toward her doctoral degree in Nursing Practice (DNP) at Liberty University.

Hello, I'm Rose! I’m currently accepting new patients! I am board-certified and licensed in Virginia and Washington DC. Having worked in a psychiatric hospital, partial hospitalization program (PHP) and out patient office; I have extensive experience working with adults, children and adolescents to manage depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, autism spectrum and OCD. Prior to graduating as a nurse practitioner, I had 12 years nursing experience working in neurology, psychiatry, hospice and pain management.

I am passionate about helping people who struggle with ADHD, depression, mood disorders, relationship issues or trauma. I especially love helping young people overcome their mental health challenges, discover their strengths, and reach their full potential. My additional training in France as a Couples and Family Counselor emphasising a family systems viewpoint has enabled me to better incorporate an individual’s particular context and background when considering treatment. I have been a Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner since 2022 and am certified to work with patients across the lifespan.

Dr. Yeganeh “Anna” Jalaeian is a psychiatric and family nurse practitioner. She has 17 years of experience in the healthcare field, including over 8 years as a nurse practitioner in both family medicine and psychiatry. She specializes in treating mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, postpartum mood disorder, prolonged grief, and anger management. She works with clients from diverse backgrounds, including the LGBTQIA+ community and those with autism spectrum traits.

She possesses a deep interest in addiction medicine and assists people in liberating themselves from dependency. She specializes in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, adolescent psychiatry, anger, behavioral issues, bipolar disorder, OCD, sleep issues, stress, and PTSD.

Josephine Dakin- Davis is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHMP) in the of state Virginia. With over 15 years of clinical nursing experience, Josephine came to the realization that a sound mind is the precursor to the sound body and has an ardent passion for Mental Health. Her vast experience has helped her to understand the philosophy of mental health, and her nursing education has exposed her to a variety of health care settings.
