I have been blessed to practice psychiatry for the past 11 years. It is an honor to walk the journey of life with my patients, helping them work towards their goals free of burden. I have developed a pharmacologically conservative practice that is founded on listening and developing patient relationships, in the convenience of an accessible West Houston location. Chineye combines the science of general nursing, psychiatry, and neurology to treat clients with a wide range of mental health disorders. She treats clients age 6 and older. Her special interest is in helping patients using a wholistic approach with emphasis on patient centered outcome to provide mental health care.

I am a psychiatrist who specializes in treating patients who are struggling with mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder as well as anxiety. I am especially interested in treatment resistant disorders. I also utilize genetic testing when appropriate to personalize treatment based on an individual's unique ability to process medication. This can improve a patient's response to medications and minimize side effects. Each patient receives a highly individualized treatment plan, and I ensure that contributing factors are addressed in order to position patients to achieve the highest level of success.

Dr. Kumar is very passionate about working with children and their families and making a difference in their lives. Her patients love her for her calm demeanor, indomitable spirit, and genuine love & care she brings into her their lives. She has also received accolades for family therapy, mindfulness and self-compassion work. She also provides experiential group sessions for mindfulness meditation and lifestyle and dietary changes.

ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS - We help patients establish a professional relationship with a dedicated physician who knows their medical history and medication regimen. This provides the patient with continuity of care and on-demand access to a doctor through telemedicine or in-person appointments. Linnea Johnson MSN, PMHNP-BC has over 12 years experience in behavioral health. She obtained her Bachelors in Nursing from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri. She later attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City to complete her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree and is Board Certified to treat patients throughout the lifespan. She became passionate about child and adolescent behavioral health while working with at risk youth in the foster care system in Kansas City, Missouri.
