I am board certified in both general psychiatry and child & adolescent psychiatry. As such, I not only see children and adolescents but also young adults. I prefer to work with this age group but I will consider working with middle-aged adults as long as it is a good "fit" for my practice. Also please know that my practice is not in any insurance networks, though we will submit all billing to your insurance so that you can collect any out-of-network benefits. I am comfortable diagnosing and treating ADHD & behavioral disorders, depression & other mood disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and autism spectrum disorder.

I am an Adult, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist trained to listen empathically to patients with deep respect for their emotional troubles. Depression, Anxiety, ADHD and Executive Functioning disorders, Autism and Aspergers Syndrome are a major focus of my practice. Women's Health, Eating disorders, Bipolar disorder, OCD, Psychosis and Schizophrenia are also treated extensively. Pharmacotherapy and Psychotherapy are employed with kindness and compassion to restore balance and quality of life. Good psychiatric care happens during visits as well as between visits. And yet when it comes to psychiatry, 15-minute med checks once every few months is the norm. It's no wonder why so many patients are overwhelmed, frustrated, and skeptical about psychiatric care! (Don't even get me started If you have multiple conditions like ADHD and anxiety!) I welcome all people who struggle with mental illness and life stresses. I also help those who struggle with relationship problems and have difficulty managing their emotions.I have been practicing psychiatry for over 30 years since completing my residency training in adult psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University. I have practiced in multiple clinical settings including inpatient, outpatient and Intensive outpatient programs. I see both adults and adolescents. In addition to medication management for most psychiatric disorders, I often also provide individual psychotherapy, marital therapy and family therapy.

Most of my clients are queer, neurodivergent, chronically ill, and/or disabled. They may seek help with transition concerns, psychiatric medication, identifying/confirming a diagnosis, or therapy/support for living in a society that's a poor fit. Whatever their need, they're seeking someone comfortable with the diversity of experiences that our identities bring and how these intersect in society.

Yassin Ghanem is a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with both inpatient and outpatient experience. He completed his undergraduate studies at Cleveland State University and received his graduate degree from Maryville University. He discovered his passion for mental health while working at Lutheran Hospital as a teenager. Along with managing mental health conditions, Yassin’s heart lies with patients who suffer with comorbid conditions such as chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, and other autoimmune/neurological conditions. He has a special interest in integrative medicine and holistic psychiatry.

I am board certified in psychiatric mental health across the lifespan and offer medication management, initial consultations, follow up visit, psychoeducation, supportive therapy, and promoting a holistic approach to mental health treatment.

Steve is Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (CNP) with a focus on providing treatment for a broad-spectrum of mental health disorders. He earned his Master of Science in Nursing Degree from The University of Akron and is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He has experience in inpatient, outpatient, as well as community mental health settings as a Nurse Practitioner and over 25 years of experience as a Registered Nurse working in psychiatric / behavioral health hospitals. Steve has also earned his credential for Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) from The University of Maryland.

Hi! I have been in mental health care for almost 15 years in a variety of settings. The bulk of my experience has been in the high acuity setting of Emergency Psychiatry. I have a passion for empathic care that seeks to understand and help those dealing with not just mental illness, but the stress of life in general. I treat individuals of all ages and mental health concerns such as depression and anxiety. I am also particularly passionate about providing care for psychotic and psychosis related disorders, as well as working with sexual identity and gender identity concerns.
