About
My ideal client is queer and neurodivergent, chronically ill, or disabled. They may seek help with transition concerns, case management (calls for insurance and doctor appointments), identifying/confirming a diagnosis, or support for living in an ablest society. Whatever their need, they're seeking someone comfortable with the diversity of experiences that our identities bring and how these intersect in society.
I can offer support and guidance as a psychiatric NP. From affirming diagnosis of neurodivergence to mediation review, a recommendation to your primary care provider, and prescriptions, to practical, real-world strategies to balance the demand of neurotypical society on a neurodivergent brain, I can offer a new way to look at old frustrations
My insight comes from lived experience as a physically and mentally disabled, multiply neurodivergent, queer and transgender individual. I specifically advanced my studies to be "the provider I never had" who reflected my experiences. I got tired of spending the first several sessions explaining what my existence was like before getting to the issue.
