I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have previous nursing experience in critical care, emergency medicine, inpatient psychiatry, and inpatient detox. I also have specialized trauma-informed care training in the role as a sexual assault nurse examiner. I would love to use my passion for health and wellness combined with psychopharmacology and psychotherapy to optimize my patients' mental health.

My interest in Psychology began by spending time with my stepfather, who was a psychiatrist. I became very interested in schizophrenia in 7th grade, which was a surprise to my teacher. I remember my stepfather helping me figure out how to pronounce medications during a trip to see my grandparents. In college, in the 1980’s, I volunteered for a domestic violence shelter/suicide hotline. I took every Psychology course offered by my undergraduate university as my electives.

I am a licensed PMNHNP trained to diagnose and treat a variety of psychiatric disorders in adults aged 18-65. I draw upon my work experiences from inpatient, outpatient, substance use, and LGBTQ care to provide compassionate care with a focus on collaboration. I understand that psychiatric medications may just be one part of a client's path toward healing and strive to provide holistic care that includes mindfulness and self-compassion practices. I also teach mindfulness meditation classes.

Mary Abbott, Certified Nurse Practitioner, graduated with Honors from Drexel University with a master's degree in Nursing and a Post Master's Certificate as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in general psychiatry and currently treats adults 18 years or older. Mary has a special interest in treating a variety of disorders including: Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Panic Attacks, PTSD, and Schizophrenia. Ms. Abbott also holds a certificate as a Woman's Health Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience.

I am a dual board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner licensed to provide psychiatric evaluation, care, and treatment from both a medication management and psychotherapeutic approach. I offer a holistic and collaborative approach to treatment and will work closely with you to develop a treatment plan based on your personal goals and treatment preferences. Our collaborative plan of care may include medications, lifestyle modifications, psychotherapeutic approaches, and supplements amongst other modalities. My name is Maureen Odemena, I am a board certified Psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and family nurse practitioner with a total of 11 years' experience.
