I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner fully licensed in Ohio. I have experience working with adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations in high-acuity inpatient and outpatient settings. In addition, I have experience assessing, diagnosing, educating, and treating mental health patients ages 5-99.

People with mental health disorders are affected in many ways due to the nature of the problem. These individuals need stability and want to be well. My goal of treatment is to reduce their symptoms so that it will not impact their daily functioning and so they can live a fruitful and healthy life.

I am Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry and have been practicing since 2005. I completed my residency from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts and my Fellowship in Addictions from the Robert Johnson Wood Foundation. In 2014, I was featured in SJ Magazine as one of New Jersey’s top psychiatrists. I have experience working with adults as well as adolescents suffering from both psychiatric diagnosis and substance use disorders and have extensive experience working in both out-patient and in-patient settings.

I have 22 years of experience providing services to patients in all different areas of medicine! I embrace holistic approach and I am trained in providing a whole person approach when it comes to psychiatry. I am a physician’s assistant, certified urban zen integrative therapist, and I am trained in Reiki, awareness meditation, and mindful nutrition. I love analyzing labs with my patients and connect any imbalances in vitamin, mineral, hormone, or electrolyte levels to their symptoms.

Hello! My name is Kate and I have been working in the mental health field for 9 years. I started off my undergraduate degree working alongside top psychiatrists at OSU in identifying and treatment manic symptoms in what is now published research. I obtained my bachelors degree in both psychology and nursing at OSU. I then went on to get my Masters degree in Psychiatric Nursing. I started off working as a psychiatric nurse in adolescent inpatient units. I then went on to community mental health, where I worked as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with clients from age 4 +, adolescents, adults to geriatric clients.

Katie Stanford is a board certified Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who works with adults (18+) and provides care for patients who struggle with mental health issues. Katie has experience with and currently offers medication management, supportive therapy, and other integrative treatment modalities. Her treatment approach is rooted in a holistic, patient centered model of care. Katie is a military veteran who studied at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and Wilkes University where she ultimately obtained a Master of Science Degree in Nursing.

She performed her adult and child psychiatry training at Harvard Medical School training sites. She has been practicing for over 15 years in a variety of settings including academic research, inpatient, residential and outpatient psychiatric services.

Julia is a psychiatric nurse practitioner and holds a master’s degree in nursing from Ohio University and an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Minnesota. Prior to becoming a nurse, she worked as psychosocial specialist helping patients who have mental health challenges navigate the healthcare system and community resources. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Idaho State University. For the last 11 years she has practiced as an intermediate ICU nurse in a variety specialties.

My clients appreciate how I listen intently, ask critical questions and make them feel at ease immediately with unconditional care and warmth. I have been working with patients to improve their wellbeing and morale with kind words, support and pharmaceutical expertise since 1990, when I started my career in the United States Navy Healthcare field.
