Richard Rise M.D. has created a successful career as a psychiatrist over the past 30 years. He has participated in a variety of treatment settings and has developed a wealth of experience at both prescribing medications and providing therapy, counseling, and even coaching. Dr. Ellis is a staff psychiatrist for Talkiatry. He has been practicing for more than 28 years. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. In addition, Dr. Ellis is certified by the American Board of Adolescent Psychiatry and is a member of the American Society for Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Ellis provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations. He offers follow-up medication management and incorporates supportive therapy and CBT in subsequent 30-minute visits. When indicated, Dr. Ellis encourages family involvement in the treatment process.

Dr. Caitlin Aguiar is a board-certified adult psychiatrist. Her mental health care incorporates a holistic approach, while treating clients to facilitate healing and wellness. She incorporates non-pharmaceutical interventions to supplement medication-management including, but not limited to, mindfulness, breathwork, CBT, DBT and supportive therapy in 30min sessions.

Dr. Esha Garg is a board-eligible psychiatrist starting her post-graduate practice with Talkiatry. After completing an undergraduate degree in psychology at Johns Hopkins University, she completed her medical degree at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. She is a recent graduate from the Adult Psychiatry Residency at University of Kansas Medical Center.

Dr. Mullenix is a board-certified adult psychiatrist who strives to form strong therapeutic and collaborative environments with patients and values patient empowerment. Dr. Mullenix received his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School and then went on to complete his residency in psychiatry at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. His interests and expertise are in helping patients struggling with depression, anxiety including social/obsessive compulsive and generalized anxiety disorders and ADHD. He provides psychiatric medication management along with supportive, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other modalities.

Dr. Shapiro is a board-certified Staff Psychiatrist at Talkiatry who has been in practice for over 10 years. At the heart of Dr. Shapiro’s clinical approach is a strong emphasis on establishing trust and building a therapeutic relationship in order to help patients achieve their goals. Dr. Shapiro has held academic appointments at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine and SUNY Downstate Medical Center and spent most of her professional career supervising and teaching medical students and psychiatry residents. Prior to Talkiatry, Dr Shapiro spent over 4 years as an Attending Outpatient Psychiatrist at Maimonides Medical Center.

Dr. Weiss is a board-certified Staff Psychiatrist at Talkiatry with expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric conditions including: depression and bipolar spectrum disorders; anxiety; stress and adjustment problems; ADD/ADHD; maternal mental health; OCD; and other disorders. He has extensive experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, college and graduate students, creative professionals, and the range of working adults. For the past decade, and prior to joining the staff of Talkiatry, Dr. Weiss worked at The New School as the university’s staff psychiatrist.

Dr. Perlmutter is the Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Talkiatry. She is double board certified in adult and child and adolescent psychiatry and adult psychiatry. Prior to joining Talkiatry, Dr. Perlmutter was the Chair of Behavioral Health and Addiction Services at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center. Prior to Bergen New Bridge, she was the Director of Inpatient Psychiatry at Montefiore Medical Center-Wakefield, in New York. Over 35 years, Dr. Perlmutter has held numerous leadership roles with some of the largest hospital systems in the New York Metro Area.

Dr. Abraham is a board-certified psychiatrist trained in Adult Psychiatry. She completed her medical training at Weill Cornell Medical College. She went on to complete psychiatry residency training at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She received additional training in psychoanalytic therapy at the New York Psychoanalytic Society & Institute. She has a wide range of experience in depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorders, as well as personality and trauma-related disorders.

Lauren Devins, NP is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who is dedicated to helping people who struggle with mental health concerns and will find a way for them to live a full and balanced life. She has vast experience and has specialized in Women's health including Post Partum, Infertility emotional support and other areas of maternal health. She also treats depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD and much more. Lauren's practice focuses on medication management. Typically she offers this in conjunction with supportive or emotionally focused therapy in 30 minute follow-up visits.

Dr. Padow is a board‐certified adult psychiatrist who uses a compassionate, collaborative approach to the treatment of patients with a range of psychiatric conditions. She focuses on building strong therapeutic alliances with her patients in order to create safe spaces to work together toward wellness. Dr. Padow’s practice employs a mix of psychotherapy and medication management, tailoring treatment to each patient’s specific needs and preferences. She primarily works with adults dealing with depression, anxiety, and difficulty coping with life changes.

Dr. Megan Wynne is board certified in adult psychiatry and completed fellowship training in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry (Psychosomatic Medicine). She has been in practicing psychiatry since 2006. Dr. Wynne completed her medical degree at Drexel University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, her psychiatric residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA and her consultation/liaison psychiatric fellowship at Long Island Jewish Hospital in Queens, NY. Following a move to New Zealand, she worked as lead psychiatrist for Te Puna Waiora, Maori Mental Health team at Counties Manakau District Health Board.

Dr. Sonal Harneja is board-certified in adult psychiatry and specializes in medication management and various psychotherapies to treat anxiety and depressive disorders. Dr. Harneja completed her undergraduate studies at Stony Brook University and received her medical degree from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (now called Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences). She completed her adult psychiatry residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Dr. JinGu Lee is a board-certified Psychiatrist in the states of New Jersey and New York. Dr. Lee focuses on understanding each client’s unique background and building a strong therapeutic alliance with his client. Dr. Zelimir Vukasin is an adult psychiatrist. He completed his psychiatric residency training at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. He also completed an internal medicine residency at New York Hospital, Medical Center of Queens. Dr. Vukasin received his medical degree from the University of Zagreb medical school in Croatia. He has practiced in various setting over his career including inpatient psychiatry, long term care, private practice, and non-profit outpatient psychiatric programs. He has more than 31 years of experience providing patients with compassionate psychiatric care through medication management.

Stephen H. Geisler, MD, is board certified in Adult Psychiatry. He completed a fellowship in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at the Zucker Hillside Hospital of Northwell Health after finishing his residency training there. He is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. Dr. Geisler had been at the Zucker Hillside Hospital for over 35 years. Besides being a staff psychiatrist in the Adult Outpatient Department there, he assumed the role of Associate Director and later the Clinical Director of the Adult Ambulatory Psychiatry Service.

As an experienced Military Police in the Air National Guard and a Medic in the Army Reserves, I enjoy working with veterans, supporting their mental health journey through both medication management and psychotherapy. Dr. Monica Badillo is double board-certified in child and adolescent psychiatry and adult psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She received additional training and certification in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the New York Medical College Psychoanalytic Institute. Dr. Badillo is bilingual and speaks Spanish and English to deliver quality care for patients and parents. She provides medication management while incorporating psychoeducation, supportive, and psychodynamic psychotherapies. Generally, she employs 30-minute follow-up sessions, and she may request a psychotherapist to participate in treatment.

Dr. Lyman is a board-certified psychiatrist who values the lived experience of every individual seeking treatment. She completed her undergraduate studies at Stanford University, received her MPH from University of Hawai'i, Manoa and graduated with her MD from the John A. Burns School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in Psychiatry at the Queens Medical Center, where she served as chief resident. She is currently pursuing a nutritional psychiatry certificate through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute and has a particular interest in the connection between the food we consume and our emotional well-being.
