She was awarded her Master of Science Degree in Nursing from Walden University, completed a Fellowship in Integrative Psychiatry through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute, and holds a Bachelor of Art Degree in History from Loyola University in Maryland.

I am an open, caring, and intuitive psychiatric nurse practitioner who works well with clients of all ages and backgrounds. Besides eight years experience as a nurse practitioner and 11 as a psychiatric nurse, I also have a PH.D. in English and am skilled in communicating with my clients. Working together, my client and I set up meaningful and workable therapeutic goals and then go about attaining them. Body awareness and imagery work are hallmarks of my practice. She specializes in Cultural Psychiatry and Psychopharmacology and began her career as an Assistant Professor, doing research and providing cultural psychiatry training to medical students and residents.
