I am an adult psychiatrist with 24 years of experience in treating patients who struggle with a large array of psychiatric diagnoses including psychosis, mania/bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety and substance abuse. I started my career as a researcher at NIDA working with children, adolescents and adults with ADD, ADHD, CD and ODD. I am a former sub-investigator for studies pivoting around psychosis, bipolar disorder and depression. I'm a psychoanalyst who works with adults, children, couples and families, and have a subspecialty in sexual difficulties. I have taught and written about issues across many areas of the life cycle, and am probably best known for my treatment and teaching about couple and family difficulties. Although I am a psychiatrist, I only prescribe for patients I treat with psychotherapy and psychoanalysis.

I am Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry and have been practicing since 2005. I completed my residency from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts and my Fellowship in Addictions from the Robert Johnson Wood Foundation.
