My background includes emergency room/critical care nurse at Level I & II trauma centers, inpatient psychiatry nursing as well as a variety of other healthcare settings. Ellen began her education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, receiving a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience. During this time, she contributed to research on schizophrenia, treatment-resistant depression, and the effect of adverse childhood experiences on mental health. She completed her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in nursing from Northwestern State University in Louisiana.

Abigail has worked in a variety of healthcare settings, both psychiatric and medical.
