I use talk therapy and, when necessary, medications, to help people get to a place in which they can listen to their own voice, and use their own strengths, to cope with life's challenges, to establish a meaningful vision for their life, and to carry it out. I help people with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and career difficulties.

I am an experienced mental health clinician with expertise treating depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I prescribe discerningly for adult clients who would benefit from a medication's role in their healing process. Additionally, I offer insight-oriented, strength-based psychotherapies which support the brain's natural ability to recover from trauma and attachment wounds. Whether you are accessing mental health treatment for the first time or wish to pursue your healing on a deeper level, I look forward to working together.

My patients live and work in a global environment with complicated interpersonal problems compounded by economic, political, cultural and religious pressures. Through extensive education, experience and world travel I have built the capacity to provide a neutral, private and safe environment permitting the pursuit of solutions for acute mental health problems as well as longer term, intensive psychoanalytic treatment. I am a board certified psychiatrist with a medical degree from University of Southern California. As a psychoanalyst I completed the curriculum and treatment of cases through the Baltimore-Washington Institute for Psychoanalysis under the auspices of the American Psychoanalytic Association.

I am a seasoned therapist for individuals, couples and families, with years of experience (and many presentations and publications --see my website www.sluzki.com). In therapy, I follow an empathic systemic/ narrative orientation, with occasional whiffs stemming from my prior psychoanalytic training. Olubunmi Moses is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who has years of experience working with children, teens, and adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, and chronic stress. She has extensive experience caring for patients in different age groups and different cultural backgrounds. She also has extensive clinical experience working with inpatient clients in a hospital setting.

Dr. Embrey is an integrative and holistic child and adult psychiatrist in Washington DC. She is also seeing patients in Virginia, Maryland, and Wisconsin (virtually). Having trained at Johns Hopkins, she treats psychiatric illnesses with an approach that involves evaluation and treatment via traditional psychiatric methods, medications, and therapy. She also includes an assessment of how complementary interventions may be helpful toward finding mental, emotional, and spiritual balance and vitality.

Dr. Yakov is psychiatrist with combined background in medicine and neurology, participants of many clinical research projects and author numerous international/USA publications in neuropsychiatry on topics of movement disorders, smell/taste/hormonal abnormalities, sensory gaiting and sensory reduction methods in adult psychiatry. Since Psychiatry Residency training at University of Alabama of Birmingham (2012-2016), Dr. Yakov gained extensive experience in management treatment resistant depression/bipolar disorders and suicidal patients with novel antidepressant medications and cutting edge approaches (TMS, Spravato).

Ruth Esmeralda Mena, PMHNP, is a board-certified bi-lingual (Spanish and English) who specializes in treating individuals across the lifespan with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, psychosis, and ADHD. With over eight years of diverse experience in community, outpatient, and acute care settings. She's compassionate and dedicated to improving mental health.

I, Tirhas Zerahaimanot am a doctoral prepared, licensed and board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I earned my clinical Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from the University of Washington, Seattle. I have 14 plus years experience in healthcare and of those 13 years, I have specialized in mental health.
