Most of my patients struggle with treatment resistant disorders mood and anxiety disorders. Some have addictions or psychosis. They may have seen other clinicians and tried medications and psychotherapy already. They want to function better, and are open to changing your medications and behavior. From me and my office staff you can expect state of the art care in a compassionate and confidential fashion. I make sure every patients is seen on time and treated with with the highest level of care and respect.

My ideal client would understand that the journey to wellness and recovery requires time, effort, and patience. They would be receptive to treatment suggestions which may include psychotherapy, behavioral interventions, and medication options. My patients would take an active role in their care, and engage in open and honest communication with their provider.

My ideal client is open-minded and motivated and would like to explore medication as part of their treatment plan. They may struggle with various mental health issues such as anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, depression, or other mood disorders. Their goal is to find relief from their symptoms and improve their overall quality of life.

I am double board-certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. I believe in using both medication when indicated as well as therapy. I was trained in CBT and was given the Excellence in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy during my residency program. I use supportive therapy with each client I see. During my residency I served as Chief Resident and was awarded the Overall Excellence in Psychiatry Award as well as the Clinical Excellence Award.

The ideal client is the one who attends their initial evaluation to talk through their experience and potential treatment options. I approach patient care holistically and attempt to develop an understanding of the patient’s lived experience and current symptoms.

I am Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry and have been practicing since 2005. I completed my residency from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts and my Fellowship in Addictions from the Robert Johnson Wood Foundation. In 2014, I was featured in SJ Magazine as one of New Jersey’s top psychiatrists. I have experience working with adults as well as adolescents suffering from both psychiatric diagnosis and substance use disorders and have extensive experience working in both out-patient and in-patient settings.

I help patients verbalize their feelings and why they feel that way. I help patients process their thoughts individually to see the reasons and justifications for their thoughts and associated beliefs. It is that belief that arose from their experiences in the past, creating their behavior in that time. If everyone realizes that their experiences have no relation to the truth of an event and that they do not have to think similarly, they can change their thinking process every time. This can alter destructive thought and behavior patterns into a more helpful, healthy mindset.

I treat a variety of psychiatric conditions in a warm, supportive, and confidential private practice setting. I believe all patients deserve to be treated with patience and without judgement. I provide both medication management and various forms of talk therapy to help patients achieve their mental health goals.

I served as a psychiatrist for over 25 years as a medical director for multiple facilities in Palm Beach County serving clients with anxiety/panic disorder, medication assistant program (suboxone)/ addiction treatment, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, attention deficit disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, developmental disorder (autism) for child/adolescent, adults, and geriatrics population. I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is qualified to practice in psychiatry; diagnose, treat, and prescribe medication for children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Some of my practice specialties include, but not limited to, PTSD, ADHD, Personality Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, Schizophrenia, Eating Disorders, and Addictions. I began my career at South Florida State Hospital, as a Mental Health Technician. After working as a Mental Health Technician and seeing how Mental health is affecting the community, my true meaning and purpose of helping came as a vision .
