Welcome to Half Full Psychiatry, where my objective as a medication prescriber and a mental health provider is to build a "glass half full perspective". This does not mean I primarily rely on medications to solve an individual's problem. I value knowing about you as an individual to be able to offer solutions, whether they involve medication, psychotherapy or productivity skills. I am currently a father of young children, a husband, a caregiver to my elderly father, a son who lost my mother abruptly. I was also once a student who found it difficult to navigate the social and academic life.

I am trained as a mental health counselor with a focus on depression, grief and eating disorders. I believe that true healing is possible. When both the client and practitioner deeply respect and understand the client's struggles and commit to addressing the core conflicts that may lie behind their disorder, healing can take place. I am also a Rabbi and I have been a mentor and teacher at the Rabbinical college of New England for over ten years. Although I do not bring my personal religious beliefs into therapy, my style is informed by my experience as a teacher of ancient wisdom and existential thought.

Mental health and substance abuse is my passion. I have worked both in outpatient and in-patient settings. Christain Chidiadi, is a clinician with over Fifteen years experience in behavioral and Mental health. I am a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner across the lifespan. I obtained my Bachelor and Master's of science in nursing degree from University of Hartford and Walden University respectively. Each patient is a unique individual, exerting particular strengths and resilience through situations. I create an individualized treatment plan utilizing high-level, evidenced-based treatment including involvement of parents, counselors, and outside therapists for those already in therapy. Medication, when indicated, is offered, as well as evidence-based therapeutic interventions (CBT, supportive) and lifestyle modifications. Jordan Sloshower, MD, MSc is a board-certified psychiatrist, researcher, and educator specializing in integrative approaches to mental health and psychedelic-assisted therapies.
