I completed medical school and residency in my home state (West Virginia) at the WVU School of Medicine. I'm board certified in psychiatry.

I believe that creating a satisfying, meaningful and happy life is a worthy goal. There may be obstacles in the way. Getting help to identify and deal with those obstacles is one of the goals for therapy. Therapy is a collaborative process at its best and one in which the therapist uses skills and expertise as a consultant. That is my goal in providing therapy. I seek to understand and assist clients to live their lives to the fullest with a deep sense of satisfaction and realization of a life well lived.

Being telehealth based, we can see you at your convenience from a private location of your choice. We specialize in a wide variety of psychiatric care including depression, anxiety, bipolar, PTSD, as well as perinatal and postpartum psychiatric conditions. Whether you are feeling not like yourself or have a long term mental health concern, we are here to help you on your journey to wellness. We will work with you to create a treatment plan that takes into account your unique concerns and needs.

Accepting New Patients - Intake slots are available within 2 weeks (updated 5/7/24). Optimal mental health is the goal, not just the absence of disease. The body, mind, and environment operate as a whole. You can’t treat a symptom without addressing the root cause. Extra time allows me to be thorough, listen to your story without interrupting, and discuss treatment plans in detail. This allows me to provide higher quality care and enables you to feel heard and understood in a way you may never have felt before.

All patients are treated with dignity and respect. Most of my patients require medical management solutions where both their medical issues and their psychiatric issues are coordinated and resolved. I actively work with my patients' internists/family practice/neurologists to coordinate care and develop a treatment plan. Patients are expected to be informed and to be involved in their care. All medications are carefully explained. I believe patients do best when they are engaged participants in their own care. Similarly, I actively encourage coordination with any patient that has their own therapist and want medication management only.

My clinical expertise spans across various settings, including labor and delivery, neonatal intensive care, emergency care, and mental health.
