I am a Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who has been working and providing care in inpatient and outpatient mental health settings for over 30 years. I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from San Francisco State University, my Master of Science in Child and Family Psychiatric Nursing and my Child and Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of California, San Francisco, and my Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.

Dr. David Finkelstein is a board-certified psychiatrist and has been with Mindpath Health since 2013. Dr. Finkelstein treats patients interested in long-term psychodynamic or insight-oriented therapy. He doesn’t treat any patients solely for medication management. Dr. Finkelstein wants his patients to understand how unconscious factors from past experiences might contribute to current life troubles or maladaptive patterns.

I am a Board-Certified Psychiatrist who specializes in treating individuals with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, attention deficit, victims of trauma, phase of life emotional turmoil, immigrant identity issues, and impact of social and environmental adversity. I am a psychiatrist specializing in the treatment of adults and adolescents with addictions, mood disorders, personality disorders, ADHD, anxiety, and psychosis. I offer both medication management and psychotherapy. My approach to medications is a conservative one: I use medications (including Suboxone) only when patients have a full understanding of their risks and benefits, and I am willing to help patients taper or discontinue medications that provide little benefit, or which cause harm. At all times, I am eager to collaborate with other providers (therapists, counselors, alternative medicine specialists) to provide the optimal care for my patients.

Dr. Raphael is a Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist who has been practicing since 2009. She graduated from UC San Diego with a major in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience and a minor in Sociology. She then continued on at UC San Diego for Medical School. She completed her General Adult Psychiatry Residency, and then also her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship, at UC San Francisco.

Dr. Mark Chofla is a board-certified psychiatrist and physician who completed his specialty residency training at the Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Medical Center. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from the University of California at Davis, Dr. Chofla earned his medical degree from Midwestern University: Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine.

I enjoy helping persons who are experiencing lower-than-normal functioning because or new onset or chronic mental health needs. My patients enjoy partnering with me to understand how their physical health, their social world, their choices and their identity all create conditions in which they feel well or unwell. I delight in getting to know my patients and in collaborating with them to improve their wellness and to achieve their goals. I have always been fascinated with how the mind works and how the role of an individual’s relationships, genetics, and environmental factors contribute to their well-being. At age sixteen, I enrolled in college with a particular interest in child development, which expanded my curiosity about psychiatric conditions and holistic treatment approaches.
