Psychiatry has always been my passion. Psychiatry is an art and science I am grateful to have the privilege of working in. I have been working as a certified nurse practitioner for the past 5 years in Emergency Psychiatry, Inpatient Adult and Adolescent Psychiatry, Outpatient Adult and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Chemical Dependency. I have experience in working with several disorders including Anxiety, Depression, OCD, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, and Schizophrenia. I have traveled the country for the past few years learning different ways of practicing and approaching patients' obstacles. Let's work together to meet your health goals.

My intention is to provide compassionate and thoughtful treatment for every child, adolescent and adult I work with. I often see people who are uncertain if they want medicine and are concerned about the potential risks. I will listen carefully to your concerns, conduct a complete assessment, and then discuss the pro's and con's of your different treatment options so you can make the best decision for yourself or your child. I often recommend combinations of psychotherapy and medications. I have found that carefully prescribed medication frequently enables people to grow more rapidly in psychotherapy.

I provide treatment to children, teen and adult patients throughout Colorado with most psychiatric conditions, including a wide range of neurological and/or developmental challenges (ADHD, Anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Mood Disorders) and major medical issues. It is imperative I take the time to study and research patients' cases to find answers. It is my ultimate goal to limit and minimize my patients’ need for further therapy as much as possible. Additionally, I make every effort to maximize the relief of symptoms with the most conservative use of medication possible.

I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience working in mental health nursing since 2018. My area of specialization includes LGBTQIA+ issues, Anxiety, Depression, and PTSD. Outside of work, I enjoy the company of my two Huskies and two Persian cats. When free, I can be found playing the bass guitar or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. A love for cooking is further fueled by my spouse, a baker, making us quite the culinary team.

Sherra St Clair is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Doctor of Nursing. She has more than a decade of experience working with individuals and families with a wide range of behavioral health issues including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, personality disorders, and trauma. She is a compassionate provider who welcomes patients of all genders and socioeconomic backgrounds. Sherra recognizes that each individual is the expert in their life experiences and works to empower people to recognize their strengths, worth, and potential.
